Steve Grimsley

Employee Benefits Servicing Specialist

Steve Grimsley has a lengthy employee benefits history which field includes sales, claims and account management. Beginning in 1976, Steve began his career in Charlotte NC as a captive worker's compensation/liability claims adjuster for a Forbes 500 national carrier. In 1984, within that same company, Steve switched to the role of a captive Employee Benefit Sales Representative working throughout the Carolinas selling group health, dental, vision, life and disability products.

In 1994, Steve joined a London based international insurance brokerage firm that had developed a purchasing cooperative in conjunction with the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners working with all North Carolina counties. It was Steve's responsibility to assist county administrators in identifying, establishing and maintaining BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina benefit programs for their employees.

In 1998, Steve moved into the non-profit world as the Director of Health Services for an organization based in Silver Spring, MD, with over 50,000 employees in North America. In this role, Steve managed more than 50 employees processing medical, dental, and vision claims for those employees.

Steve moved to Knoxville, TN in 2004 and began working for various Knoxville based insurance brokerages managing hundreds of group benefits accounts. Today, at CORE, Steve is the Senior Account Executive overseeing all of CORE’s Group Benefit accounts. Steve works directly with CORE’s clients coordinating enrollment of employees in their group benefit plans. Steve’s wealth of knowledge allows him to assist the Principals and Sales Executives in obtaining, renewing and maintaining all aspects of our corporate clients' needs.
